At JYOTHI, we believe that an educated individual has the opportunity to enhance and empower his immediate society. We are essentially a small group of optimistic individuals who believe in the words of American educator & poet, J.F. Carney, and reiterated to us by our beloved friend and the founding member of JYOTHI, Raghavendra C.Tawker, that
'Little drops of water, little grains of sand, make the mighty ocean and the beauteous land.'
Hence, to enable this enlightenment, we have embarked on a cause, since 2004, to facilitate deserving students financially as well as through counselling and guidance.
THE JOURNEY SO FAR
Since its inception, JYOTHI has supported 2(+1)3 students, through our scholarship program, who have successfully completed their respective education and thereby realized their dreams.
HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE
For the academic year 2009-2010, JYOTHI has short-listed 10 deserving students (8 School Students and 2 College Students) from Chennai. JYOTHI will also mentor these students from this point till they complete their education.
Your support for these students is most welcome in any form - counselling or financial or anything else you can think of that could positively impact these wonderful kids.
